Knighton’s greatest asset is its teaching staff, an experienced and close-knit team. Academic staff work closely with the care staff to ensure that all children are happy and achieving their potential.

Staff are always available to discuss any parental query or concern. There are formal parent/teacher consultations twice a year and detailed reports are written for each child from Reception onwards, at the end of the autumn and summer terms. There are half-termly assessment grades in the Prep. Graduate Assistants or ‘Gaps’ are young women who help out at Knighton House for a year. They are usually taking a year out before or after university courses and often they come from around the UK and beyond — Australia, New Zealand or South Africa. Knighton girls quickly become devoted to them — and vice versa.
