Food
Healthy children are happy children. All meals are carefully prepared on-site in the school kitchens every day by our Head Chef who creates tasty, nutritious meals with plenty of variety and including ingredients from local growers – Knighton’s own orchards feed the children in Autumn. The team brilliantly weave their menus into school life, with a medieval feast on History Day, Indian cuisine for India Day, even ‘hideous’ grub for Hallowe’en. The whole school eats lunch together, with tables of mixed year groups and a member of staff on each one. Each day parents get a taste of what their children enjoy: Knighton’s famous flapjacks are served with tea in the Portman Room at pick-up time.
